OVERVIEW

Why TEDxMacatawa

Michigan’s West Coast and the world are filled with a growing spirit of anticipation. Our hardest questions and biggest challenges continue to grow in complexity. But so also grows our innovative vitality.

How do we wrestle with the uncertainty of tomorrow? Where will the next big idea come from for education, work environments, our prison system, and mental health? At the convergence of technology, entertainment and design, TEDxMacatawa presents our community’s intellectual and imaginative contributions toward shaping the world of tomorrow.

What is TEDx?

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxMacatawa, where x = independently organized TED event.

At our TEDxMacatawa event, TED Talks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.
